To us, this is an invitation for women to clothe themselves in the beauty of modesty and femininity. Velatus is the fruit of a desire to give glory to God through lifting up the dignity of womanhood through modesty.

HOME MADE

All of our dresses are made right here in New England, USA. As much as we can, we source our materials here too, although the patterns for these lovely dresses come from Spain. Personally we don’t mind a little European flair to our dresses. It makes them that much more unique.

LET’S KEEP IT NATURAL

These days, it seems like everything is about fast fashion. Polyester and Nylons are everywhere. Science is only just now catching up to how bad these synthetic fabrics are for our bodies. It makes sense that modesty and natural fibers go hand-in-hand.

Who said being fashionable can’t also be functional. Life is a joyful mess sometimes, and having the ability to quickly grab something and put it in a pocket can be invaluable in a pinch. Is it possible to also have some functionality with our nice clothes? We say yes!
